My family have been living in a rental house for almost a year now. And every now and then, (more these days) I have come across a type of spider that I havent ever seen except in my house. Ive looked online to try to identify it but havent had any luck. I live in so. california and the coloring is like a recluse but different. I dont really know how to explain it. Im afraid that they might be poisonous is there anyone who might know what this spider could be. I have an infant and spiders can be scary. I havent been able to get close enough to get a picture but any thoughts would help. Thanks

I live in a basement-level apt in Omaha, Ne. My windows are at least two feet from the ground with no gardens, grass, or trees nearby. I wash the outside walls dilgently and have putied up all the cracks, creves, and even bubbles forming inside the seal. My cats regularly visit that window and aside from a large spider bigger then my cats' head each september, most things avoid my window. However, almost year round I seem to have a problem with dozens of little dots appear on the ceiling above the livingroom window. They don't seem to mind the light and perfer not to venture more then a few inches from each other or from the center of the wall. There is a vent above the window but I never see them there or webs hanging on the kite I have hanging there. The webs are nearly invisable and so small that I think only the babies use them. I normally smash them and clear/spray the area. However they just keep coming back and I don't know from where. This week, I find seven larger ones in my bedroom and they were on three of the four walls. Three in one area, two in another, and one all by itself. When I got close, they were a lot larger then I thought and I got a good look at them. Research leads me to belive I am dealing with cobweb spiders in both rooms. However, learning anything about their behavoirs and breading habbits has proven ill. All I know is they have nothing to eat accept each other. And once big, don't do that. Many starve before I get around to smashing, cuz i'm terrified to get close, but terrified to leave them alone. If they didn't stay put so well, I'd have killed them all by now. I have never found a nest. HELP!

Dear John Ledford,

EcoSMART products work because they target neuroreceptors found only in pests. Click here for a detailed explanation of how the products work.

I live more in a country-ish setting so there is always a vast assortment of spiders hanging out outside of the windows, doors and by the lights.Personally,I don't have a problem with them hanging around the house but my fiance can't stand them.I was trying to find a way to get rid of them all and looked up eco-friendly ways and came across this site,I would like to see how well this product works on our little friends.

Hey I found this spider in my home in southern Wis. last weekend and have never seen anything like it - and I'm having trouble even finding a pic of it on the web. Can someone maybe see if they know what it could be? It had a single 'bulb' for its body about the size of a dime. Red with some white markings. It's legs were thicker than your typical house spider and were black with white stripes. Unfortunately I didn't get a pic because I freaked out and flushed it before I could do anything else.

I found your information very informative. I am looking for something that will kill spiders because I find them outside (and sometimes inside) my house. I would very much like to try your product because my pest control man said there was nothing on the market to get rid of spiders. Please help!
