My husband and I were born and raised in New Orleans, and I don't think that ANY place on earth is as badly infested with these monsters.
When I was young and had to feed my dog, there were always roaches around to pick up any scraps. Once I saw a roach stuck in a pot, unable to crawl out. I poured BOILING WATER on it, and it didn't die. So far I have seen very few in our new house in Georgia, but we did have them at our old house in Atlanta.

Ahhh Florida and the never ending palmetto bug! I have a toddler and several dogs so I really hope this works! I try to do organic whenever possible. Chemicals can cause so many unknowns and you may never link a problem to something you have used for a bug!
Thanks and would appreciate being a product tester! Anything natural I will try-so long as it is safe to use around children and pets!

I tried to kill 2 of the biggest bugs I had ever seen late last night in my kitchen. They did not run.I kept hitting them with the fly swatter and they just kept running. I am so glad I found your web site. I guess from reading your blog this is just part of living in Florida. It has been very dry this year and my FL. native neighbor says they are looking for food and water. PLEASE send me a sample.I would love to kill them!!

Ok so like many commenters I have just moved to FL from NJ and these over sized roaches are just creepy! Where I come from roaches are a sign on uncleaniness but apparently down here they are as common as spiders. Either way I feel grossed out and embarassed that any bug from the roach family is in my home. I have two young children: one with allergies and the other with asthma so I am also hesitant to use just anything. I have been cornering them with bleach, hairspray and a huge wad of papertowels. If this products does work I will sing your praises to everyone I know!!!

God these things terrify me! Fortunately, I don't get too many but the occasional one every month or two. If I see one, I can't relax until it's gone. Generally, my method of capturing it involves hairspray, a large garbage can and a dustpan all before he meets his death of the tidy bowl! Would love to try this stuff.

I just moved to Florida, and the Palmetto bugs scare me!!! We had some where I lived in VA and NC, but these seem way more aggressive! I would be more than happy to test the product in my home if you are still looking for people. After a rain, I see them in the house, but also outside on my mailbox! They literally coat the mailbox trying to get away from the wet ground! Plus we have ants and GIANT spiders! Bugs definitely abound down here in the sunshine state!
