Organic Bug Killers & Harvey the Egyptian Mau

August 25th, 2009 Posted in Winner's Circle

It’s been a while since we added a cat to our winner’s circle. Fortunately, Linda from Illinois was kind enough to send in a photo of Harvey, a rare Egyptian Mau.

Here he is, next to EcoSMART’s Ant & Roach Killer

Linda explained a few interesting things about Egyptian Maus. Did you know that they are the only naturally spotted domestic cat, and that Maus are used in the Catwoman movie? (I didn’t!) According to Linda, “Harvey wags his tail when he is happy and shows displeasure by attempting to bury what he doesn’t like. The fact that he didn’t attempt to bury the EcoSMART is a BIG sign of approval. At one point, he actually knocked over the can and pounced on it.”

Since Linda didn’t have a huge ant problem, she found other uses for her EcoSMART. One of which was using it to keep wasps out of the umbrella above her outdoor table. The result? “The wasps didn’t like it at all.”

As you all know, EcoSMART is a completely organic product and she was able to use it around food without having to worry about harmful chemicals. Another great (and creative) use of the product was spraying it on her kitchen door, reducing the number of insects that tried to come in at night.

Thanks Linda, for sharing your photo of Harvey and your EcoSMART experience with us!

I am very interested in this eco and pet safe ant killer. Living in the woods and in a log home, we face ants yearly. I’d love to test this product should you need testers still. Thank you.

My husband is a soldier and we are at ft campbell. This summer we had alot of rain and that made all the ants come in the house we had a really bad problem. I am a eco friendly health nut. this even got worse when I found out I was pregnant with twin boys. When we called a local extemator to take care of the ants I asked for a list of the chemicals used before hand to take to my dr to make sure I was going to be ok to stay at home. well to cut this short I was going to have to leave for about a week so my husband could wash and clean the whole house cause the fumes was not good for me nor was the resdue that was going to be on the carpet the walls the floor the furniture our clothing. So we opted to find something else well while shopping on post I seen the EcoSmart ant killer and bought a can and took it with me to the dr and she said there was nothing wrong with me using it. So I went home and started spraying the windows the doors and everywhere the ants were 2 weeks later we are ant free. I will say this at fisrt the mint smell is really strong but after a few mins when the smell thins and airs out a little the smell is refreshing from the mintiness. over all it dont bother our boxer abby and out 2 yorkies. we give it a 10 out of 10.
