Global Warming Evidence Complicates The Situation
December 24th, 2009 Posted in Green Living & News
Global warming is the rise of the Earth’s temperature that inadvertently affects the rise of sea water. The rising temperature melts the icecaps, which makes the sea level climb. Many believe this is a very serious problem, while many discount it as merely an environmental phase the Earth is going through.

Regardless of your view on the situation, the issue is real and its effects are far reaching.

New Global Warming Evidence
The warming earth will wobble with the continued presence of global warming. Scientists have discovered new evidence that the climate change brought on by global warming will cause the Earth’s current axis to wobble and tilt.
The Earth’s axis around the sun is important characteristic of the Earth and its population. The Earth’s axis affects the climate of the air and sea, which in turn greatly affects the environment we live in. With increasing temperatures world wide affecting the Earth’s axis, the axis itself will help to speed up an increase in temperature.
With global warming comes less ice and more water being distributed throughout the planet, which alters the Earth’s mass. This changes the axis, which is currently at 23.5 degrees from the vertical. Lastly, with higher temperatures the planet’s mass will shift around to the poles causing the Earth to spin more rapidly.
Other Effects Of Global Warming
Scientists have identified a few more effects of global warming that up until recently weren’t as widely known. A worldwide reduction in wine and beer production is estimated with rising global temperatures.

With rising temperatures comes alter climates, which affects the farming of various crops. Although the world will still go on with out wine and beer, it undoubtedly will have a continued affect on the world’s economy. According to the World Health Organization, global warming is killing 150,000 people annually. Whether it is due to a heat wave, disease, flooding, or air pollution, these indirect consequences are having a direct affect on the world’s population.
Severe weather is increased in the form of flooding, heat waves, and wildfires directly affecting human beings. It starts to become an endless cycle of one thing affecting another. Global warming increases global temperatures, which cause an increase in heat waves that cause an increase in wild fires. Wild fires then increase air pollution, which highlights how interconnected everything really is.
Ways To Stop Global Warming
Reading a guide to what you can do in your home is very important towards the fight to reduce global warming, but many other ways have also been developed to help force people’s awareness. One such method is by public condemnation.
When you make people’s carbon footprints public you help to discourage someone from doing certain things. For instance, if people were forced to put stickers on their cars that displayed the average distance traveled, it would help to discourage the use of inefficient cars that pollute more than other models.
If energy companies publicized a person’s energy usage in a database available to the public, it would make for embarrassment in some cases. This would force people to be more environmentally aware due to fear of public harassment. This method is hard to agree upon because of its ethical breaches of privacy, as well as the outright criticism people would receive from merely living their life.
Thus, this method may or may not be put into effect, but regardless it is a method that would be helpful in reducing global warming in some way.
