Clean Up Your Crops with This Organic Bug Spray for Vegetables
July 13th, 2010 Posted in Organic & Chemical PesticidesLet’s face it, chemical pesticides are just plain dirty.
Not only can they cause damage to humans, they also seep into the ground and water supplies, lingering for years and killing off important members of the ecosystem.

This year, clean up your act and use an organic bug spray for vegetables.

The Dirtier Side of Chemical Pesticides
Did you know that there are almost 600 chemical pesticides that are kept a secret from the general public?
Or how about the fact that for years chemical pesticides did not list the potentially toxic inert ingredients that were in their pesticides?

Sounds pretty shady, doesn’t it?
Synthetic, chemical pesticides are harmful in more ways than one.
Certain inert ingredients and additives, like formaldehyde, have been shown to cause cancer, respiratory damage and even result in problems with reproductive organs. Not to mention, the active ingredients in chemical pesticides can cause severe problems and even death in humans and animals.
When sprayed onto plants, the chemicals seep into the soil, eventually infiltrating the water supply. This not only pollutes the water, but kills fish and causes illness to the animals (humans included) who consume them.
Are all of these risks really worth bug-free produce?
Greener Is Cleaner
If someone were to tell you that you could get effective pest control with a natural, organic bug spray you’d be pretty happy, right?

I’m heading to Home Depot this weekend to try your organic insect killer, in hopes that I can rid my garden of the flies and slugs that are feasting on our plants.
