Eating in can:

  • Save you money
  • Get you eating healthier food
  • Help you understand where your food comes from
  • Give you a better idea of sustainable eating

Eating in is easy, affordable and sustainable if you stay organized by following these steps:

1. Plan Your Day
For most of us, eating out has become habitual; we go to the same coffee shop each morning, meet with coworkers at the same spot for lunch, and indulge in our favorite take-out most evenings.

Planning your day outside of these habits may at first seem difficult, however will be easy after practice.

Plan:

  • Make green tea each morning and put it into a sustainable thermos, instead of purchasing coffee
  • Make lunch the night before, and meet up with friends at a picnic area
  • Cook dinner, instead of ordering takeout

2. Make a Shopping List

In advance, plot out which meals you are going to eat each day of the week, and before going into the market, create a shopping list that encompasses these items.

This way you won’t forget anything, and you’ll be eating everything you buy.

3. Get the Right Tools

Cooking involves certain kitchen tools that you may not have.

If you don’t want to invest in your own expensive cooking set, call up your friends and family to see if they have extra cooking tools they don’t use anymore.

5. Keep it Local
Whether you check out your local farmer’s market, or choose to buy local from the store, this step will help you understand where your food is coming from, while bringing prosperity to your community.

The goal to keeping it local is a win for both your health and the wealth of your neighbors.

The benefits of eating in will quickly show up in the way you feel each day, and hopefully give you more energy while keeping your wallet heavy.

But don’t let living a sustainable life end with what you eat, because cleaning up where you eat can also be eco-friendly.

Keeping Your Kitchen Clean and Green

Your passion for staying healthy shouldn’t stop with home cooking, because keeping your kitchen clean and void of pests in a an all-natural way is also a smart idea.

When you’re cleaning up after cooking, use products that are made with no or low VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds).

I’d love to test the Home Pest Control. My apartments is riddled with bugs and my indoor cats seem to always get fleas. I can’t use the harmful sprays for the feas and ants because of my 4 month old.

Hello, I would love to test your product at my home. All the recent rain and moisture have the roaches, mosquitoes and fleas very active. I have been reading on your products and like the eco friendly way to get rid of pests. I have two small children and they are quite the explorers and I would not want to expose toxic or poison chemicals to them. I would be honored to test your products in my home! thanks.

EcoSmart Ant and Roach killer worked wonders. For the past 2 years, I have not seen any more ants in my kitchen after I sprayed my kitchen as soon as I’ve noted few ants.
Re: EcoSmart organic Home Pest Control Insectide: I am curretnly using this insecticide for killing grain weevils. I’ve noticed that this product does kill grain weevils upon contact but I am not sure, if it will prevent from coming back. Currently, my kitchen cabinets are infested with these pests and even after a professional pest controller sprayed my kitchen cabinets. I have discarded all boxed grains and meals and hopefully, I have my kitchen under control with this Organic Insecticide. Any comments or suggestions?

SLEEPLESS IN CONNECTICUT!! About 6 months ago I was lying in bed reading a book, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw a movement. I turned my head, and a centipede was speeding towards my end of the bed. I could not jump out of bed fast enough, & in the process stubbed my toe, reached for my bug spray & drenched the damm things till it stopped moving. Decided at that momemt to try sleeping on my couch. Well, that was okay for about 2 months. One night while lying on the couch watching TV, I sensed a movement, turned my head and there next to my upper arm, was a centipede. You would have thought Godzilla himself was behind me from the way I flew off the couch, banged my leg on my coffee table, and cursed every crawling thing. Again, ran for the bug spray, started spraying all over the couch to force it out, because it disappeared-finally came out, and sprayed it to dealth. NOW WHERE DO I SLEEP??
The following may sound rather ridiculous, but,I’m not alone. I sat at my kitchen table, placed a pillow in front of me, placed my feet on a small stool(sprayed the legs with bug spray),left a small light on in the livingroom, and rested my head on the pillow. Needless to say, I didn’t get much sleep, and my body was hurting from resting in that sitting position. This is where I sleep OR don’t sleep. I miss my bed upstairs, but most of all, I miss my sleep. Hard to believe that this bug, can disrupt your life. Please give me a solution, because I don’t want to have to go to a hotel, just to get a night’s sleep. With my luck, the hotel will have bedbugs. Just want to sleep in my bed without the fear of a centipede crawling over me while I sleep. Please help!!!!!
